Grant from “Stichting fonds Anna Cornelis”

I am very happy to have received a project grant from the Dutch fund ‘Stiching Anna Cornelis Fonds’, which enables me to continue working on my series ‘Unsettled’. In the following part of the series I will focus on the area surrounding the Belgian village Doel which will be subject to change as a result of nature compensation plans, to recompense the industrial expansion in the same area.

Exhibition on Daegu Photo Biennale 2010 (SK)

I am delighted to say that my series ‘Unsettled’ will be exhibited in ‘2010 International Young Photographers Exhibition’ organised by the Daegu Photobiennale in South Korea.
The exhibition shows 140 works by selected young photographers from 8 countries.
This 14th International Young Photographers Exhibition will be a large-scale international exhibition, and also will be the gateway for young photographers to the world stage.

Speaker on debate ‘Beeld/Verhalen’ 16.10.2010

I am glad to participate as a speaker in the discussion day ‘Beeld / Verhalen’, to be held 16.10.2010 in Bruges. Focus of the discussion are the differences between West- and Central Europe nowadays. In my contribution here I will comment on my series ‘Room 261012′ about the life of a Serbian Asylum family in a Belgian Asylum centre.
